The "huapangueadas" or parties where the huapango is played and danced usually take place for special family occasions or simply for pure enjoyment. Holding his hat in his hand, the man gallantly invites his partner to dance and they begin to enthusiastically execute their strong competitive footwork and dance softly while the musicians sing out their creative verses.
